Ross Waring has extensive experience in commercialisation stemming from his senior roles in technology spin-out companies emanating from Imperial Innovations, the commercialisation arm of Imperial College, University of London. Ross was the CEO of London based HeliSwirl Technologies Ltd developing a novel helical piping system to enhance fluid flow and improve efficiency for ethylene reactors and oil and gas equipment. Prior to this, Ross was a Director of Turbo Genset Co. Ltd, developing compact power systems for distributed generation and CleanTech applications in Europe, US and Canada, taking the technology from bench-top through to commercialisation and listing on the UK and Canadian stock markets. Ross’ career commenced in Mechanical Engineering and has spanned 20 years of product development, research and design, and project management in power generation, oil & gas infrastructure, turbomachinery and industrial plant applications. Of particular focus have been technologies providing efficiency savings, use of alternative fuels and low emissions in the CleanTech sector. Ross holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Distinction) from Curtin University, an MSc in Advanced Mechanical Engineering (Distinction) from Imperial College, University of London, as well as a PhD in Hybrid Vehicle systems, also from Imperial College. He is a Member of the Institution of Engineers Australia and the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Matthew Roesner is a fourth generation Director of Roesner Pty Ltd, a family run engineering firm started in 1900. From any early age Matthew learnt practical engineering skills and innovative problem solving techniques in the family business. He has extensive knowledge of mechanical design techniques, having worked with 3D CAD modelling and FEA Analysis since the mid 1990’s. As well as having a solid background in engineering, Matthew has a product development focus, often working on designs from conceptualisation through to testing and commercialisation. Matthew has managed numerous projects in the precision agriculture space, including research and development into new farming methods, prototyping and testing of electronic control systems and machinery design and engineering. In the mining Matthew has lead a number of innovative design projects in the areas of workplace safety systems, geological sampling techniques and drilling systems. Matt has first hand knowledge of modern manufacturing techniques and can advise on efficient methods of series and batch manufacturing.
